I have found the cutest new buttons...I have to say they look much cuter in person. I am a terrible photographer. You'll just have to trust me...or buy one and see for yourself:)
Growing up, my amazing mother fostered an exciting environment for experimenting and creating. We watched her whip together Easter outfits, endless Christmas gifts, prom dresses, scarves, hats and gloves in just the colors we asked for, wash rags and curtains for the kitchen…it seemed there was no end to what she could do.
Now as a mom myself, I find myself itching to create the same environment in my home. I started with a simple beanie for my two year old daughter. As I presented her with the hat that had been started and ripped apart at least 10 times, her jaw dropped open in her oh so dramatic way and she exclaimed, “Oh mommy, it fo fritty! Wow, I’m fo fritty!” As you can guess, my two year old praised the hat she thought was “so pretty”. And that was it…if she saw the slightly lopsided hat as “fo fritty”, I wanted to make more. And I did…
My mom has never stopped creating. Now that I am out of the house, I walk into her makeshift craft room and my jaw drops just the way my daughters did. She is amazing…her ideas, her precise needlework, the way she recreates the traditional…
